In 2004 the Leaderbrand family decided that it was time for a change. We wanted to pull our interests, and talents together to build a family owned and, operated business.

It was important to have something to share and build together, so since we are all fairly industrious and enjoy drinking wine, we decided collectively to build a winery and grow most of the fruits that will supply it on our vineyard.

Through an extensive search, land was purchased in southern Indiana 3 miles south of Spencer Indiana in Owen county. This area is commonly known by the locals as Owen Valley.

In 2005, Leaderbrand Vineyards LLC was formed, and in 2006 we formed Owen Valley Winery LLC. The equal partners are Bonnie, Jo Anna, Preston, and Anthony Leaderbrand.
